A couple times a year Bark River Knives and the Bark River Knife Collectors Association host "Grind-In's". They open the doors to their shop in Escanaba, Michigan to teach knife making. This is a hands on experience where you make your own knife.

The Bark River Crew are there to instruct and guide you each step of the way. If you goof something up or are not comfortable with any step, they will step in fix it.

This was my first time at a "Grind-In" and I made my first knife (with a lot help from the Bark River Crew). I built a Bark River Upland model in Desert Ironwood Burl with brass mosaic pins.
